BREEAM is the world's leading sustainability assessment method for masterplanning projects, infrastructure and buildings. The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method is a tool used to measure and promote positive ecological design and mitigation measures of proposed developments.
Scott Cawley staff all qualify as 'suitably-qualified ecologists' for this process and we have undertaken BREEAM assessments for 'landscape and ecology' LE2-LE6 credits for major developments including St James's Gate Brewery in Dublin, Digital Realty Data Centre in west co Dublin and Nutricia Infant Nutrition Ltd in Co. Cork.
15th Feb 2017: Temperatures are still mild. Tits and Jackdaws already breeding and any hedgerow removal should be preceded by approporiate surveys to ensure compliance with Wildlife Acts. HIbernation surveys for bats still valid despite mild days. Early spring woodland flowers already started and frogspawn noted in some sites but main breeding surge does not seem to have started yet.
