Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) & Ecology in EIA
One of Scott Cawley's original services that we have been delivering for over 15 years is the preparation of stand-alone ecological impact assessment (EcIA) reports and chapters on biodiversity/fauna and flora for environmental impact statements (EISs). These reports are informed by a series of both multidisciplinary and specialist ecological services undertaken by our in-house ecologists. We follow best practice methodology and templates for reporting which provide comprehensive reports to meet legislative requirements. All of our reports are accompanied by habitat mapping at an appropriate scale prepared using ArcGIS, Autocad or Mapinfo compatible formats.
15th Feb 2017: Temperatures are still mild. Tits and Jackdaws already breeding and any hedgerow removal should be preceded by approporiate surveys to ensure compliance with Wildlife Acts. HIbernation surveys for bats still valid despite mild days. Early spring woodland flowers already started and frogspawn noted in some sites but main breeding surge does not seem to have started yet.
